Your job is more than a job
The Print Operator produces printed media for the organization through use of high-volume duplicating equipment such as digital copiers, etc. Employs digital technology in various formats and performs associated copying tasks and binding and/or finishing work. Has typesetting skills and can edit files when needed. Ensures quality control measures are applied and pulls samples for quality testing. Works closely with other staff to develop print materials for advertising, manuals, training, or other publications. Assists with maintenance and/or minor repair of equipment.
Your every day
* Operates high production copiers and manages documents for production files, inventory items, system and hospital specific forms.
* Employs proper pre-press technology necessary (original PDFs or high-resolution scans) to produce jobs adhering to job specifications.
* Ensures production files are high quality, addresses brand standards, and reports any issues with files to appropriate seniors.
* Employs accurate procedures to complete auxiliary services for all print production jobs including but not limited to trimming, folding, drilling, collating, stapling, binding, padding, etc.
* Employs proper use of department online storefront/database.
* Enter Orders, Closes tickets, tracks jobs, ensuring that estimated production times and deadlines are addressed.
* Provides insight and overview of inventory items for production. Tracks and ensures inventory supplies are available as required for production.
* Follows organization approved policies and procedures.

Your must haves
* Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent AND 2 years of work experience in printing or design OR operation of digital and or offset presses, and bindery equipment.
* Any school training in Graphic Design and printing technology.
* General computer skills with ability to learn.
* Fiery workflow knowledge a plus.
* Software knowledge, Word and Excel. Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
* Knowledge of electronic PDFs, typesetting, type edits, page extraction, etc.
* Bindery equipment, such as paper cutters, laminators and book binders.
