Insight Global is seeking an Accountant I to join a client in New Orleans, LA. This individual will oversee, control, and monitor revenue cash flow, perform grant audits and prepare audit reports, and reconcile and review accounts receivable. They will assist with medical billing and claims, identify and coordinate access to Medicaid, Medicare and commercial health care insurance, Social Security Administration, and other programs and benefits. They will develop budget and budget narrative of grant proposals and maintain a timeline for the submission of deliverables, ensure grant funds are expended in compliance, and perform grant close-out procedures and reports among other daily duties. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity in New Orleans, LA.

-Background in credentialing, commercial billing, or insurance

-Supervisory experience

-Experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-Experience with Electronic Health Service database
-Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Knowledge of statutory accounting principles
Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
