Business Manager

Reports to: St Louis Cathedral Rector

Function:

As a representative of the Roman Catholic Church, there is an expectation that the Business Manager will conduct one's self according to the goals and mission of the Church. The Business Manager undertakes various responsibilities connected to the financial operations of the Catholic Cultural Center of New Orleans (St Louis Cathedral and the Old Ursuline Convent Museum). This includes tasks such as overseeing day to day financial operations of the Cathedral and the Convent Museum. She/he is also responsible for assisting with financial analysis.

This role demands a proactive individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently and collaboratively within a team. The ideal candidate should possess:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
• Strong organizational abilities,
• Keen attention to detail,
• Discretion and respect regarding confidentiality
• Dedication to delivering high-quality work,
• Fundamental knowledge of Accounting, and
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and QuickBooks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience, with a minimum of one year of prior experience in bookkeeping or public accounting, and proficiency at an intermediate level in computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing payroll using payroll software
• Oversee day to day financial operations
• Generate monthly financial reports
• Support of gift stewardship and work with donors via accurate and timely reporting of data related to private gift support
• Monitoring financial performance
• Perform analysis of various revenue streams and expenses associated with each area
• Support other assignments and special projects as directed by the Rector of the St Louis Cathedral
