Job Summary:

The Safety Manager is responsible for all safety-related matters for select Fidelity BSG companies within and around the greater New Orleans, LA area.

This position will promote and uphold our culture of safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations such as OSHA and the FMCSA and our insurance carriers, customers, and contractors.
2. Provide training for field team members such as OSHA 10 & 30, CPR, First Aid & AED, Forklift, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and others.
3. Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and ensure PPE is received.
4. Participate in site visits as required by customers, General Contractors, and Insurance Carrier.
5. Schedule and conduct site inspections to ensure personnel are operating in a safe manner.
6. Plan, facilitate, and oversee crane lifts and other high-risk job tasks in-person.
7. Prepare and submit detailed site inspection, post-accident, and injury investigation reports.
8. Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and auto accidents.
9. Actively participate with the Safety Committee.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in risk, safety, or claims related position is preferred.
3. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
4. Possess or obtain the necessary training credentials that facilitate certification of team members in various safety-related courses.
5. Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record that meets or exceeds company standards.
