BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.

5+ years of previous Electrical Engineering experience in a Power or Manufacturing environment required; 10 or more years preferred.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
  2. Provide cost estimates and engineering proposals for routine equipment replacements and process improvements. Supervise installation activities.
  3. Offer technical support to production and maintenance teams to evaluate and resolve maintenance issues.
  4. Train personnel in operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and maintenance of electrical equipment. Develop training materials as needed.
  5. Stay updated on new technologies and evaluate their applicability within the plant.
  6. Participate in technical meetings and seminars to enhance skills related to maintenance management.
  7. Assist maintenance and operations staff to minimize equipment issues.
  8. Consult with contractors and external service providers on projects.
  9. Evaluate and recommend changes to maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce costs.
  10. Develop, implement, and assess preventive maintenance programs.
  11. Ensure preventive maintenance programs are properly executed.
  12. Ensure electrical systems and components comply with standards and regulations.
  13. Establish testing and calibration procedures for electrical equipment.
  14. Recommend and update spare parts requirements for equipment.
  15. Support other engineers on special projects as needed.
  16. Prepare specifications and purchase requests for equipment.
  17. Maintain repair records, logs, and evaluate repair costs and trends.
  18. Develop inspection, testing, outage, and repair scopes.
  19. Design or improve systems to reduce downtime and repairs.
  20. Prepare cost estimates and capital proposals for small projects.
  21. Advise on the design and layout of equipment for capital projects.
  22. Lead troubleshooting efforts for major or recurrent issues.
  23. Maintain engineering drawings, files, and specifications.
  24. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including NERC standards if applicable.
  25. Participate in plant safety, health, environmental, and security programs.
