Position Summary

Wheelchair Agent is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and timely assistance to airline passengers requiring wheelchair support. This position plays a critical role in delivering excellent customer service while ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout their airport experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs to and from gates, terminals, and other designated locations, while maintaining awareness of potential hazards.
• Assist passengers with special needs, providing accurate information and directions as required.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and respectful demeanor in all interactions with passengers, airline personnel, coworkers, and members of the public.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and gate agents to ensure timely and accurate wheelchair service.
• Adhere to all TSA checkpoint screening protocols and procedures.
• Accurately complete required documentation, including wheelchair service logs and incident reports as necessary.
• Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or hold up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and push for extended periods during the shift.

• High School Diploma or GED may be required (depending on location) for applicants 18 years or older.
• Must have reliable transportation and an active, working telephone number.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, depending on assignment), including participation in random testing programs.

• Successful completion of all required Huntleigh and airline-specific training programs prior to performing assigned duties.

• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
