Hands-on work on a heavy civil construction project for the St. Bernard Neighborhood Playground Stormwater Management Project (HUD Section 3 Project 4429), located at Willie Hall Playground,1101 Milton St., New Orleans, LA 70122.

This position supports a HUD-funded project subject to Section 3 hiring and reporting requirements. Individuals meeting the HUD low-income limit ($43,900 annually for the New Orleans area), public housing residents, or YouthBuild participants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Note: This is a HUD Section 3 project. Individuals meeting Section 3 income or residency criteria will receive priority consideration in accordance with federal guidelines.

Work Includes:

• Performing general construction duties (trenching, mixing concrete, moving materials)

Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license and TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
• Reliable transportation and steel-toe boots
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
