Las Maracas is a family-run Mexican restaurant in the heart of Westwego, Louisiana. Since opening in August 2016, we've proudly served our community with authentic recipes passed down from León, Mexico, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere with seating for up to 100 guests, a full-service bar, and video poker.Our commitment to fresh ingredients, excellent service, and a family-style dining experience has earned us a reputation for serving some of the best Mexican food and Margaritas in the metro area.As we continue to grow, we're looking for passionate, hardworking individuals to join our team and help us deliver the quality and hospitality our guests have come to love.
Server / Waitstaff (Part-Time)
Las Maracas Mexican Restaurant - 27 Louisiana St, Westwego, LA
Las Maracas is looking for a part-time server to join our friendly, fast-paced team! If you're attentive, punctual, and enjoy creating great dining experiences, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Greet and seat guests with a welcoming attitude
- Take orders accurately and present menu recommendations
- Handle dine-in and takeout orders (including phone orders)
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and safely
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly
- Roll silverware and keep the dining area tidy
- Complete all side work and cleaning duties for your shift
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and reliable team members
- Ability to multitask and follow instructions
- Strong communication skills (English required)
- A well-groomed, professional appearance
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be courteous and customer-focused at all times
- Must have or be able to obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a server, waitress, or waiter is a plus, but not required - we're happy to train the right person!
