Prime Staffing is seeking a travel Perfusionist for a travel job in New Orleans, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Perfusionist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel escription: Please ensure your traveler is aware of the below: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with Ochsner Health, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at Ochsner Health if you are not comfortable with the above. 2 Years of experience required Unit will accept 1st time travelers Call: Weekdays & weekends in rotation Education: Completion of a formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology Certifications Required – Certified by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Current license as a Perfusionist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical - MUST HAVE IN HAND AT TIME OF SUBMISSION. Licensure process takes 2-4 months Clinicians in this role conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass, provides ventricular assist support, provides Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support, and conducts ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation. Also required to perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, hemofiltration including acute dialysis, and operate various blood analyzers and Ex-vivo organ systems.
